  • You can revoke all data access from your device Settings.

Overview

Health Connect is built on a single principle: your health data belongs to you. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal or health information. All data read through Apple Health (HealthKit) or Google Health is processed entirely on your device and never leaves it.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Health Connect accesses, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Health Data We Access

Health Connect requests read (and in some cases write) access to the following data types through HealthKit on your device:

• Step count and walking/running distance • Sleep analysis and duration • Heart rate and resting heart rate • Active and resting energy burned • Water intake (hydration logs) • Workout sessions and duration • Body weight

This data is accessed solely to display your metrics inside the app. It is never transmitted to our servers, shared with third parties, or used for advertising purposes.

On-Device Processing

Every computation, trend calculation, and goal comparison in Health Connect happens locally on your iPhone. We do not operate servers that receive your health information. There are no user accounts, no cloud syncing of health metrics, and no backend databases holding your data.

When the app is deleted from your device, no residual health data remains with us because none was ever collected.

Data Sources

Health Connect supports two data sources:

Apple Health (HealthKit) — Data is read directly from the Health app on your iPhone using Apple's HealthKit framework. This integration is governed by Apple's own privacy and security policies. You can manage or revoke this access at any time via: Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Health Connect.

Google Health API — If you choose to connect Google Health, data is retrieved from your Google account via the Google Health API. This connection uses OAuth and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not store your Google credentials or any Google Health data on our servers.

You can switch or disconnect your data source at any time from within the app.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

Health Connect may use anonymised, aggregated crash reporting to identify and fix bugs. If enabled, this data:

• Contains no personally identifiable information • Contains no health metrics • Consists only of technical crash logs (stack traces, device model, iOS version) • Is processed by Apple's native crash reporting framework

You can opt out of sharing analytics with app developers via: Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share with App Developers.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Health Connect offers optional in-app purchases (Health Connect Pro) managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not process or store any payment information. All billing is handled by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

To manage or cancel your subscription: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.

Notifications & Reminders

If you enable walk or water reminders, Health Connect schedules local notifications on your device. These notifications are generated locally and do not involve any network request or external server. No data about your notification preferences is transmitted externally.

You can manage notifications for Health Connect at any time via: Settings → Notifications → Health Connect.

Children's Privacy

Health Connect is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Third-Party Services

Health Connect does not share health data with any third-party services. The app does not contain third-party advertising SDKs. The only external integrations are:

• Apple HealthKit — for reading on-device health data • Google Health API — as an optional, user-initiated data source • Apple App Store — for in-app purchase management • Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — for local notification delivery

Each of these is a system-level service controlled by the respective platform provider.

Your Rights & Choices

You have full control over your data at all times:

Revoke HealthKit access — Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Health Connect Disconnect Google Health — within the Health Connect app under Settings → Data Source Disable notifications — Settings → Notifications → Health Connect Delete the app — Deleting the app removes all local app data. No data is retained by us.

Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no account to delete and no data to request access to or erasure of from our side.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date below. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
